Leeds United are reportedly in touch about a potential summer transfer window dive for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Julian Weigl.
German International has had a great career in the Bundesliga and is currently looking at it as an ambitious target for Daniel Fark’s promotional chaser.
Leeds slightly missed promotion to the Premier League last season, but it looks like a favorite this year.
After that, imagining that some serious recruitment would be needed, Florian Plettenberg posted about Weigl on X being one of the top targets of the Yorkshire Club, but Christian Folk gave us additional information via his exclusive daily briefing column.
Plettenberg said the initial contact was made, but Falk also reflects his claim that Weigl and Farke have a good relationship.
However, Leeds’ winning promotion to the Premier League appears to be important to expect to get the Weigl deal done.

I’ll talk Catch off side For his latest daily briefing column, Falk provided Weigl’s insight into Leeds’ stories.
“I know I had a connection with Leeds United. It’s true that Weigl has a very good, close relationship with Daniel Fark,” Faulk said.
“But the transfer will only be interesting for players if Leeds is promoted to the Premier League. But as things stand, Weigl is leaning towards staying at Gladbach.”
This seems like it would be difficult for the LUFC to accomplish, but I imagine it will remain a situation to be aware of in a few weeks or months.
If Leeds can bring celebrities like Elland Road to Weigle, it’s certainly a few statements and will probably give you the idea of the player caliber the club wants if they return to the top flight.
