Leeds United hopes for a new goalkeeper this summerDjordje Petrovic is also on the white radar

Leeds United have launched a meeting with goalkeeper Lucas Peri as the club is looking to strengthen its goalkeeping division ahead of its return to the Premier League.

According to the Guardian, Leeds, alongside his newly promoted Sunderland peers, are actively entering the market to ensure survival and stability on top flights.

Both clubs understand that defensive solidity is important to staying in the Premier League, and that trustworthy goalkeepers are at the heart of their plans.

Peri, who is currently in Lyon, has emerged as a leading candidate for Leeds. The 27-year-old Brazilian shotstopper impressed the white man.

Peri’s situation is particularly interesting. Lyon has recently been relegated to League Two due to financial mismanagement and field struggles, so it may be necessary to offload key players to stabilize finances and create an opportunity for Leeds to secure highly rated keepers at reasonable rates.

Leeds’ interest in Peri lies in concern over the form of Iranian Mesurier, and the French face criticism of the contradiction.

Leeds’ return to the Premier League forced the club to reevaluate all positions, ensuring that there are players who can perform consistently at the highest level.

Alongside Peri, Leeds is reportedly considering Chelsea’s Jorge Petrovic’s move, with discussions being held with both goalkeepers as whites evaluate what’s best for Daniel Fark’s system.

For Leeds, the addition of a new goalkeeper is a key step in a summer rebuilding as they try to avoid the fate of many promoted clubs who are struggling to adapt to the requirements of the Premier League.

Peri has European experience and proven quality, and could be a valuable addition to the Leeds team, offering both competition with Messlier and the possibility of taking over the number one place in the event that the French fail to improve consistency.
