Leeds United wants to sign a new goalkeeper who will hold clean sheets every three games.
Leeds is looking at new goalkeepers to replace Meslier
Daniel Fark’s decision to drop Iranian Messlier due to the practice of promotional squeals squealed as they are trusted to do work between sticks in the backend of the 2024/25 season.
Darlow received high praise for its performance during the promotional fees. The Welsh goalkeeper proved to be a reliable option, helping the whites secure the championship title on the final day.
However, long-term alternatives have been under consideration for quite some time, and are frequently linked to the Elland Road exit this summer.
Augsburg’s Findahmen is one of the targets, as well as more proven Premier League goalkeepers such as Aaron Ramsdale and Caoimhin Kelleher.
According to a report by Fotboll DiRekt, Leeds wants to sign goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist at 6-foot-4 Mjallby.
TornQvist could be an affordable option for White as Mjallby is holding back at a £1.5 million fee, much less than the £25 million it costs to seduce Ramsdale to Elland Road.
Fark’s side doesn’t want to give up on pursuing a shot stopper, but given that there are more proven goalkeepers on the list, it’s still unclear whether they’ll make the move.
Signing TornQvist is a risk, like Leeds No.1
Mjallby’s goalkeeper contract is on the cheap side, but given that he hasn’t been proven in major European leagues, there is still a risk in the risk that Farke will take him as the new number one.
That said, the Swedes have produced several impressive performances in their home country, keeping a record of clean sheets for each of their current employers’ three games, shipping a total of 83 goals in 78 games.

Leeds now wants to sign a £20 million championship star, surpassing Gus Hammer
The whites are about to raid one of their 2024/25 Championship rivals this summer.
Thus, TornQvist could be a savvy signature for Leeds as a backup or a long-term addition, given what Darlow’s performance on the backend last season shows. The 23-year-old is still young for the goalkeeper, so he has plenty of time to adjust to life in the Premier League, and could repeat Mesurier in the process.
With just £1.5 million spent on goalkeepers, with less than £3 million spent by whites on Tanaka, 24 hours a day, 3.6 million players, Leeds should have the funds available to bolster other areas of the team, and they are clearly very keen to sign new strikers among Rennes’ Arnaud Karimend and Newcastle United targets.
