Leeds looks forward to returning to the Premier League after securing the promotion on Monday. Prior to the kickoff of the 2025-26 season in August, Daniel Fark’s team turned their attention to improvements.
As many newly promoted clubs have shown in recent seasons, Leeds will cut off work to avoid an immediate relegation to the championship. Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope is on the radar, but is now preparing to move on to West Ham’s midfielder.
Leeds is turning to Thomas Soucek’s summer moves
According to Czech news outlet Idnes (via Leeds Press), Leeds is seriously considering Thomas Souzek’s summer moves. The 30-year-old has scored seven Premier League goals this season despite not being a regular starter for West Ham manager Graham Potter, and it seems inevitable that he will end his six-year stay with Hammer as his contract is set to enter the final 12 months.
Everton is also passionate about Susec, and the possibility of a reunion with David Moet could be appealing to him. But nonetheless, the report says it is open to the Czech international to join Leeds. And given that he doesn’t want to be a bench player, he will likely have more opportunities to start on Elland Road.
There is no doubt that a player like Soucek is something Leeds need in their first season in the Premier League. He has proven that he has enough quality, and it is possible that West Ham will not require much to sell him considering his contract situation. Because of these facts, it’s not surprising to see this frontline move during the summer transfer period.
