Leeds United striker since Chris WoodWhy Troy Parrott can sign the best striker since Chris WoodRio Ferdinand 2.0: Leeds wants to sign a “extraordinary” £20 million defender

Leeds United ended the championship season by beating Plymouth Argyle in suspension to win the title ahead of Burnley, earning a century of points.

Since then, a week filled with parades, celebrations, funny chants and dance moves has been a move from the team and management team members.

Once the celebration is over, or at least become modest, Daniel Fark and his staff must start thinking about plans for the upcoming summer transfer period.

Leeds is now in the atmosphere of a party and after their incredible accomplishments, but they know how difficult their previous tasks are.

In fact, football insiders report that the Whites already have doubts about Joel Pillow and are not expected to build offensive around the Dutch people next season.

This means Leeds will need to find nine deadly numbers and regularly provide goals to the team as Leeds is about to land the best striker signature since Chriswood.

New Zealand International set the bar high when it looted an exceptional haul of 27 goals in 44 championship matches in West Yorkshire costumes in the 2016/17 campaign.

However, his incredible form in the second tier led to Premier League interest, with Burnley rushing to sign him with a reported fee of £15 million.

Wood has scored 88 Premier League goals in total for Burnley, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.

Meanwhile, Leeds has not found a striker of wood quality or potential since the move to Turf Moor as none of the previous or current strikers since New Zealand’s International continues to achieve what he has.

As you can see from the table above, no striker has scored 20 goals in the Whites league since Wood returned 27 goals. Winger Crysencio Summerville is the only player to hit that mark in the last eight seasons.

Patrick Bamford showed great potential to kick-on when he scored 17 goals in the Premier League in the 2020/21 campaign, but the former England International has not been able to score more than eight goals a season in the past four years.

The club’s report from Football Insider that the club has doubts about the pillow’s suitability for top flights does not suggest that Dutch will become the next timber when successful in the Premier League. This means Leeds will have to nail the next striker to sign this summer.

The whites have already linked interest in new players before the summer transfer period, and one of their targets, Troy Parrott, can sign the best striker since Chris Wood.

Why Troy Parrott can sign the best striker since Chris Wood

It was developed during his stay at Elland Road that made Wood a successful signing for Leeds.

The white man was able to get cash to him for a significant amount of money from it, but that hasn’t been something they could do since.

Parrott is reportedly one of the names on the club’s potential list of striker targets prior to the summer transfer period, and Ireland International is the forward that could become the best centre forward signing since Wood.

First, the Irish striker has plenty of time before him at the age of 23 for development and improvement. That is, as in the case of the current Nottingham Forest Star, it can increase its value throughout the era at Elland Road before it is sold for future profits.

Second, Parrot is a player with physical attributes to compete at the top level. For example, he is an agile and quick advance that allows him to move away from his opposition defenders, with Pillow, for example, not blessed with lightning speed or athletic ability.

Finally, the shape of the Dutch 23-year-old star over the past two seasons suggests that he could be a reliable score threat to white people.

Parrot was described as a “amazing” marksman. Former Preston North End boss Ryan Loweturned his attention to his performance at Excelsior’s Eredivisy and Az Alkmaar’s performance in the Europa League.

As you can see in the table above, the former Tottenham Hotspur youngster has plundered 35 eye-catching goals in these two competitions over the past two seasons, surpassing XG with around five goals at that point.

These statistics suggest that Parrott, who scored 20 goals in all competitions in this term of Az Alkmaar, is a player who can regularly score goals at the top level as he has already proven himself in European leagues and large European competitions.

Taking his shape taking into account his physical attributes and his age profile, Leeds’ target could potentially sign the club’s best striker since Chris Wood.

There is no centre forward as the former Burnley man has consistently succeeded in the Premier League and is sold for great profits. Parrott is a striker who appears to be able to achieve both of these, so the white man has to plummet for his services this summer.
