According to BILD, Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Kanus could make a permanent move to Stuttgart after a loan spell.
Since leaving the Foxes on loan at the end of the summer transfer window, El Canus has performed well in the Bundesliga and Stuttgart are considering triggering his €18.5 million buyout clause.
The Moroccan’s potential departure could be a decisive move in their rebuilding project, as Leicester overcome financial constraints and off-field pressures.
Leicester City to sanction permanent ban
El Canus joined Stuttgart on an initial loan deal from Leicester City. His loan deal reportedly includes a buyout option worth 18.5 million euros, and it appears the German side are satisfied with his performances and intend to activate this option.
Stuttgart have already paid Leicester a loan fee of around 3.5 million euros, and with El Canus adapting well, Leicester are moving towards keeping him permanently.
El Canus’ loan to Stuttgart may have started as a temporary experiment, but all signs point to it being permanent.
From Leicester’s point of view, allowing the sale makes financial sense, but it would mean losing one of their most promising players.

The success of this deal will depend on how well new players and promoted talent fill the void.
For El Canus, a potential transfer would mean continuation of the Bundesliga in a stable environment, but for Leicester it could be one of the most significant departures.
Leicester City continued to perform well in the Moroccan’s absence, with the players ensuring the club did not miss out on the 21-year-old.
