Leon Haslam arrived at Asen with a strong track record – the rider who has received the most BSB victory in Asen has not visited since 2019.
Moto Rapido Ducati was on his element in a race that could be clean enough to ensure that they all registered a podium finish in Assen, as Haslam explained.
“To be honest, they’re the race you live in. It’s Assen – really it always offers it – you know we’ve had a very good fight here over the years, such a flowing, fast personality circuit, and I thought I’d done enough.
We struggled for a few laps, but just went into the corner and Scott parked it really good, like I did in Donington. So I took him to Thruxton and Cadwell and he came back me twice so it’s Oulton’s roll, but no, I think it’s fair play.
You know that racing with these guys is a mega – so close – it’s great to go back to the podium and secure that third place.
The second most intense battle may have been the best Haslam for Assen, but Alton Park is his rat victory scene after seeing a strong start to the 2025 British Superbikes campaign with his first visit to the track, filling T#92 with hopes for the next showdown round.
“Alton is one of my favourite circuits. Obviously we won there earlier this year. I think we’ve got a lap record since round one.
From our perspective, it was just winning a few races and trying to get on the podium, and we got a few seconds this weekend. ”
