Lewis Hamilton defeated criticism after his difficult start to the 2025 F1 season at Ferrari.
Hamilton’s Ferrari career has not met expectations so far.
Ferrari was his only podium appearance to date with Charles Leclerc’s third place finish in Saudi Arabia.
Hamilton has fallen behind his teammate Leclerc over many weekends.
In Jeddah, Hamilton finished more than 30 seconds behind Leclair.
After the race, it leads to an astonishing revelation from Hamilton, with no quick fixes and could be a “long season.”
At a FIA press conference in Miami, Hamilton was asked how he would deal with people asking him questions after the lack of start this year.
“I’m not really thinking about that,” Hamilton said. “I try not to really focus on the opinions of people who don’t have insight into what is actually going on.
“Yeah, I bow my head and enjoy working with the people I work with.”
Hamilton is tightly hushed, especially where he has struggled.
The seven-time world champions show flashes of pace throughout the year.
He took the pole for the sprint race before dominating the race in Shanghai.
His race pace at Bahrain Grampuri was also impressive.
Looking back on his recent visit to Maranello, Hamilton wasn’t ready to give too much.
“Not particularly so. When I joined Mercedes, it was difficult for the first six months to work with new people,” Hamilton added.
“Obviously, the engineers I work with now are used to setting up a car for different drivers and different driving styles, and driving a car with a different driving style.
“So it’s a combination of a bunch of different things.”
Hamilton wasn’t sure the fact that Miami was a sprint weekend like China would fall into his hands.
However, he hinted at the fact that condensed weekends are less likely to create opportunities for false setups.
“I can’t explain that much. There’s no major change in sprint races. I think one thing to take is that we didn’t make many changes from P1 to Quali.
