The last thing MMA fighter Louis Hernandez had expected was to punch his face by Sean Strickland after a recent trip to the Cage.
Hernandez won Miles Hunsinger in his second obedience in the middleweight match, improving to 6-0 with a Tuff-n-off 145. After tightening the guillotine choke during the end of the battle sequence, Hernandez turned his attention to the hangsinger’s horns, screaming something and sticking out his tongue.
When Hunsinger tapped out, Hernandez’s celebration included a lot of garbage talk and a degenerate X-inspired Crotch Chop directed at opposing teams, including Strickland and Chris ‘Action Man’ Curtis.
Infuriated, both Strickland and Curtis entered the cage and charged at Hernandez. “Tarzan” ended up throwing some punches during the incident, which exploded on social media.
Hernandez met and shrugged everything.
“I didn’t expect that at all,” Hernandez told MMA Fighting. “I was laughing, I was having a good time. Well, I was just enjoying the moment. When Strickland came to me, I thought, ‘What’s going on here? Is this a reality TV show?” It escalated very quickly, but I was still smiling.
“I just wanted to have fun in the cage and didn’t think it would go far. I don’t want anything to happen to Sean or Chris. I hope the committee doesn’t punish them. This is entertainment and we are all experts.
Louis Hernandez is still accepting training with Sean Strickland
After all, Hernandez has no malicious intentions towards Strickland or Curtis. In fact, “The Stache” is an open workout alongside two UFC stars from Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas.
“I don’t want these people to have anything happening, so I think things escalated to a point they shouldn’t have,” Hernandez said. “These people are professional fighters just like me, I have a career, I have a career.
“There’s no bias from that corner, anyone else from that team. It’s a great team. Xtreme Couture is a great team. I’m still in Vegas.
