In 2025, the page has reached 0.118 with four hits so far. He has attacked 14 times in 11 games so far. On Sunday, Page made a horrible route and read the double of Phillies star Bryce Harper in seven innings. The lost their lead and were unable to recover, resulting in an 8-7 loss against the Phillies.
“He did a bad read. It was a line drive and hit hard,” manager Dave Roberts said. “I think he broke in and then broke towards the right field. At that point he was beaten by baseball. It was just a difficult read.”
Page also brought a significant base running error a few games before the ‘ first defeat of the season against Philadelphia.
“As a young player, you still had to play the game the right way,” Roberts said. “He doubled a few games ago, and this will take you, you will stop. You just can’t.
