The Los Angeles will start a four-game set with the San Diego Padres on Monday, but the series opener will be headlined by Shohei ohtani.
Otani is set to return to the pitcher’s mound for the first time since August 2023, when he was a member of the Los Angeles Angels.
The lineup will face right-handed pitcher Dylan Case. Dylan Case is 2-5 with an ERA 4.28 and 96 strikeouts. He stopped pitching seven scoreless innings before facing the on June 10th.

Manager Dave Roberts said Otani will likely act as the opener and pitch one inning.
“Shohei is feeling uneasy,” Roberts said Sunday. “He’s ready to pitch in a big league game. I’m guessing my innings will begin.”

The first pitch between the and the Padres on Monday, June 16th will be at 7:10pm and 10:10pm. The game will be broadcast on SNLA.
