According to several sources, Liverpool is approaching Bayer Leverkusen to discuss the structure of payments for release clauses in Jeremy Frimon’s contract. Reports on the amounts set in the clause range between 305 million and 40 million euros. The former Manchester City youth player is considered very enthusiastic about moving to Anfield, and Liverpool has already had high-level discussions with his representatives about the personal terms of the five-year contract.
Frimon’s arrival at Anfield means Liverpool boss Arne Slot wants Real Madrid-bound Trent Alexander Arnold to be replaced by a similar player. However, the 24-year-old is known for his pace and ability to dribble past enemies on his right flank.
In 48 matches in all competitions this season, Frimon has scored five goals and produced 12 assists.
Meanwhile, Alexander Arnold was booed as he came to replace Connor Bradley in the 67th minute of a 2-2 draw with Liverpool’s 2-2 Arsenal on Sunday at Anfield.
