Liverpool will be busy this summer, and one position they will appear to deal with is the left wing. This is due to the possibility of Luis Diaz’s departure amid strong interest from La Liga Giants Barcelona.
But even after taking this, the left fielders were a bit of a problematic position for Liverpool this season. Diaz blew the hot cold away during the campaign, and no one else could put his position in his position. But if it’s open in the summer, that can change.
Recent move reports have shown that Borussia Dortmund English star Jamie Gittens is listed as a Liverpool radar player, and these are now confirmed.
Liverpool’s interest in Jamie Gittens has been confirmed
Former scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Liverpool is one of several clubs considering the Gitens’ summer move.
“There are a lot of clubs that look at him, including Liverpool, and he’s very interesting because he’s never heard of him until he sees him play at England’s Under 21.
“He has a massive pace, something that almost every club wants to have on their side, which is what he is an important target for Liverpool because they want to have these electric wingers.
“The Gitens is one of them and if they decide he is the top target, they’ll want to beat his rival. There’s a reason he was allowed to leave Man City to go to Dortmund in the first place, like Jadon Sancho.
