Premier League champion Liverpool wants to sign a new striker in the summer transfer window.
Signing offenders is a priority for the Reds manager as Darwin Nunes struggled with the club this season and didn’t make any impact.
Arne Slot, who has spent little money on transfers since taking over at Anfield, is determined to change this summer, in hopes that the club will support him in the transfer market.
Watching the manager bring about immediate success, the club is fully voicing its ability to build on this success.
One player Liverpool linked to is Newcastle United attacker Alexander Isaac.
However, signing him is almost impossible for them due to the financials of the transaction.
Liverpool is priced from the move of Swedish international attacker Isak, according to I News.
Magpies are not planning on selling Starman this summer, and are ready to add another striker to their team, while still retaining Isaac in the club instead.
Reports say Liam Dellup, an attacker in Ipswichtown, is gaining interest from Newcastle, who shows he is ready to show ambitions in the transfer market.
The Merseyside Club has noticed that Newcastle asks Isaac £150 million, making it affordable on the side of the slot.
After realising they were fighting a battle of failure, the Premier League champions began searching for alternatives in the market.
As mentioned in the report, it is impossible for them to sign a big money player like Isak as Reds invests money in renewing contracts for Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk.
“Liverpool is in a decent financial position, but their continued commitment is important. So I’m not expecting a major, large acquisition of Liverpool this summer.”Professor Rob Wilson, a football finance expert.
“It seems like they’ve been negotiating Van Dick and Sarah’s contracts and have been putting themselves in a corner that is almost unmanageable. They’re spending a lot of money on two contracts that they can’t reinvest in their play teams now.
“These two players don’t have resale value. This can be a problem in two or three years. I estimate that it will be a net spend of £100 million. This summer, where today’s market needs smart investments.
“I don’t think we can afford ISAK in regards to PSR in the assessment that Newcastle is watching. If they did that, it would blow the entire budget off at once, and that’s not something we’d tie into Liverpool’s approach.”
Liverpool is looking for affordable options in the market
Premier League profits and sustainability rules do not allow Liverpool to move big money for ISAK.
When searching for Darwin Nunes replacements, they need to look at other options.
Brighton attacker Joao Pedro is one of the names of the club’s radars that are trying to bolster their attacks.
Eintrohat Frankfurt French striker Hugo Ekichike is another name seen by Anfield’s recruiting team.
Signing Isak was ideal, but he is thought to be simply out of reach at this time.
Another player on the Liverpool Transfer Shortlist this summer is Bournemouth defender Dean Huizen.
