Liverpool is set to break forwarding recordsLiverpool Project Chelsea HijackWhy Liverpool should sign Jamie GittensSlot’s own Huijsen: submit concrete bids to sign Liverpool “full” star

Liverpool has come a long way in the last decade. Ten years ago, Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers in the dugout, losing the Europa League final to Sevilla, but a year ago all hope was lost.

However, the German boss took Liverpool to a new level of success, winning the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup. More fundamentally, he restored Anfield’s position as a European superpower and left the club to a great position to continue his job with his successor, Arne Slot.

Slot won the top English flight at Canter in his first season as the Reds head coach.

Jeremie Frimpong is officially red, with Milos Kerkez moving to Merseyside and lifting the left side of the Slot’s backline to shore.

But Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz’s progressive deal is certainly the most exciting one, right?

Liverpool is set to break forwarding records

Liverpool is set to break British transfer records not only themselves but also with the signature of German playmaker Wirtz.

Liverpool has already launched a series of approaches for the 22-year-old, the latest of which totaled £105 million. However, SkySports reports that the German outfit is postponed at £120 million.

Stamford Bridge welcomed Brighton & Hove Albion’s Caseco in August 2023 at a price of a whopping £115 million, despite Liverpool’s agreement with the Seagulls a few days ago.

It was a huge blow. It led to ridiculous when FSG chose to sign Wataru Endo as the stop gap option for No. 6 instead.

But who got the final laugh? The end thrived as Liverpool beat the Blues in last year’s Carabao Cup final and is now the Premier League champion. Additionally, Rien Grain Belch won the 2024/25 Premier League Player of the Year, appearing as one of the world’s best midfielders.

The Reds could be set to go head-on with the West Londoners on the forwarding front again this summer…

Liverpool Project Chelsea Hijack

According to catch-offside, Chelsea not only stocked Hugo Ekittique’s signatures, but Borussia Dortmund’s winger Jamie Gittens also bids £55 million on the British talent.

That said, many more suitors are interested. Liverpool is actually taking part in the mix along with Arsenal, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

The proposal is that the Anfield side (along with the city) can make their own efforts to bring him back to England.

With Louis Diaz and Cody Gakupo linked to a move away from Anfield this summer, the Gitens have become the perfect upward talent to complete the slot frontline, allowing Liverpool to win a revenge for Chelsea in the process.

Why Liverpool should sign Jamie Gittens

Gittens, primarily on the left side, is only 20 years old, has already accumulated Dortmund’s 107 senior shows, scoring 17 goals and offering 14 assists.

This is also his most prolific term, earning 12 goals and five more assists from 48 games, but the majority of Gittens’ success came from the opening months.

Still, he should be young and contradictions should be anticipated. Gittens was very impressive at that point, but Sky Sports’ Dougie Critchley claims he is “England’s best left winger on 2024/25”.

Additionally, he praises the “special” Champions League campaign from Fabrizio Romano. Liverpool wouldn’t want such talent to strengthen their rivals like Chelsea.

Kaiseko’s misery was offset by some of its successes over the past few years, but poison returned during the 2023 transfer period.

And given that Gitens could be one of the best in the business, Liverpool will help bring him right now before stocks rise in West London.

The 11-goal contribution from just 21 starts this year in the Bundesliga is not at all bad, especially when he is very persistent and fighting with duels, his defensive involvement.

Data based on sofa score

The Gitens may have tapered a bit towards the end of the 2024/25 season, but the underlying data drawn over the year made interesting comments about his quality and potential, especially as he transformed eight opportunities and missed only four.

This suggests that prospects have the instincts of naturally born killers before the goal. This is especially important as Mohamed Sarah approaches the fall year of his Premier League career.

According to FBREF, he is already ranked in the top five leagues of goals he has already scored, top 9% of progressive carry and top 15% of position peers in the top 1% who have successful take-ons per 90.

A successful take-on is recorded when the player defeats the opponent while bringing the ball directly into the possession.

Already one of the best ball carry specialists in the business, FBREF has linked it to the likes of Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao and Superstar Rodrigo of Real Madrid through tactical comparisons.

This simply adds another layer to the discussion. Gittens offers the perfect style of play for the left wing, and FSG has to throw a kitchen sink to stop Chelsea’s efforts.

With such naturally fleet feet, the Gitens are genuine and given that Chelsea chose to sign a permanent deal with Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho, this might be the perfect way to fix their vengeance.

Kaiseko may have rejected Liverpool two years ago, but revenge is the perfect dish to be served cold, right?
