Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly given a major transfer increase as Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens asked him to leave the club this summer.
The talented young English winger has been shining during his time in the Bundesliga, but has been hit with a slightly rough patch in recent games.
Gittens doesn’t seem satisfied with his life at Dortmund anymore, and expectations are high that he will leave the German club this summer.
That said, Sky Germany, Gitens has already told Dortmund that he wants to leave.
This follows an earlier report from Sky Germany that both Liverpool and Chelsea are keen on Giten.
Jamie Gittense’s transfer looks perfect for Chelsea
Gittens is an exciting young talent who has shown many possibilities in his relatively short career so far, making sense as a signature to fit Chelsea’s recruitment policy.
The Bruce tends to focus on signing elite young players for the future under this ownership, and Gitens might be the ideal choice.
The 20-year-old has him that he will have an immediate impact on Chelsea. Because they definitely need upgrades from Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho, Noni Madue and more.
But at the same time, Gitens is young enough to grow into his role in the CFC, and probably won’t become a regular starter anytime soon.
Liverpool could be something to watch in the Gitens signed race, but I imagine it might be difficult to play regularly at Anfield.
Arne Slot already has Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and others to choose from in that area of his team.
Perhaps there’s room for Gitens to enter if players like Diaz or Jota were sold, but it doesn’t seem to make sense as a priority right now.
