The transfer window for the summer of 2025 will be Wild West, a Premier League club.
Several English top flight costumes, including Liverpool and Arsenal, require offensive reinforcements.
Given that they registered 80 Premier League goals this semester, it may seem like a slightly indifferent statement about the Reds’ end. Only PSG (84), Barcelona (89) and Bayern Munich (90) have improved this in their top flight games.
However, Mo Salah has scored 28 of these goals (35%). However, there is a burden of clear goals that need to be addressed.
Does Liverpool want to sign Hugo Ekitike?
Hugo Ekichike may be the man who shares the burden of his goal with the Egyptian king of Liverpool. If the report is believed, Ekitike is at least on the list of shortlists.
However, given that Arsenal is also monitoring the situation, Merseysiders may need to quickly evolve their interests.
But frustratingly, Frankfurt is also pushing their main man to keep in the Bundesliga with a carrot hanging in the shape of Real Madrid in front of their nose.
“Arsenal and Liverpool are still interested in Hugo Ekichique.” Christian Falk notified only CatedOffside in his Fact Files column.
“We already assume that Frankfurt bosses will leave in the summer. That said they have only hopes of one victory from Champions League football qualifiers in 2025/26. At 50 million euros (£42.4 million), Frankfurt can budget for future seasons.
“The price tag is 100 million euros (£84.9 million). An internal talk in Frankfurt means that strikers must place them until they receive an offer from Real Madrid.
“If Frankfurt participates in the Champions League, players will only be interested in clubs that will also play in competition.”
Liverpool has a big Darwinnes problem
It’s becoming increasingly clear that Uruguay doesn’t fit Arne Slot’s plans as much as Liverpool fans worship Darwin Nunes.
As a result, he could be sold in the windows in the upcoming summer. The good news is that the 25-year-old’s exit will free up more funds and space for the team for the top striker.
Critically, the Reds need to bring in people with target contribution rates comparable to the best forwards (Sarah and Cody Gappo).
Player | The contribution of goals (all competitions) | Several minutes for each target contribution |
MO is wrong | 56 | 73.94 |
Cordial Gut | twenty three | 103.78 |
Hugo Ekitike | 32 | 105.5 |
Darwin Nunes | 14 | 137.64 |
Which striker should Liverpool buy?
Sports manager Richard Hughes’s holy grail will likely be Newcastle’s Alexander Isaac.
The 25-year-old Swede registered his target contribution once in 95.43 minutes in 2024/25 (all tournaments), and has experience in the Premier League.
His only flaw? There are reasonable concerns about the precursors of injuries (39 games have been missed in the club and country since 2022/23). It would be a stretch to seduce Ekitique from Frankfurt, considering that it would likely cost him more than £84.9 million. That’s a risk you take seriously.
Ideally, he would also have Champions League experience. It is necessary for aspects like Liverpool and Arsenal, with the ambition to reach the later stages of the competition.
Hugo Ekitike is much raw in comparison. But perhaps he would be a safer bet in terms of availability.
