When the Premier League campaign began, most people saw him away from Liverpool’s prism and had great doubts that Jurgen Klopp could pick up where he left off.
It was a modest job and insurmountable obstacle that took over a long-standing dynasty to another level. Arsenal and Manchester United fell after the historic manager left, but Liverpool defeated the trend and then defeated some.
There was little doubt, but Slot and his team left and left on the foundations of the company where Klopp left. Now they are the champions of the Premier League and thus the dominant winners.
Liverpool is now moving forward, but they are not going to quit, rather they will go again next season, based on the team that Klopp was made. With Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa reportedly at risk of being sold this summer, they feel the need for more attacks.
But the Reds will know that strengthening on an offensive third is something that can be achieved on a variety of routes, and challenging Dominique Zobosilai for a higher output is one of them.
Why Dominik Szoboszlai Needs Competition
Szoboszlai was the first Hungarian to win the Premier League, and his running power and energy are extremely important to the Liverpool team, relying on transitions and overwhelming opponents.
However, despite his assisting outfit, he scored 14 goals and 13 assists in 90 Liverpool appearances as the title was challenged by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Liverpool needs a more prolific offensive midfielder. It may be szoboszlai, but he needs to raise ante in front of the goal, and is probably taking a leaf from Philip Coutinho’s book.
Coutinho portends a new era of success at Anfield, a glowing light for years of boring years before signing Barcelona on a £142 million contract in January 2018. It caused a new level of success, but Liverpool lost an incredibly offensive midfielder.

Coutinho played like the guy he owned during that half season, like a footballer hoping to make a move to Barcelona. Either way, he bets his claim as one of the most iconic playmakers in the Premier League.
There’s no doubt that Slots have taken Szoboszlai’s game to the next level, but they’ll need to go even further to solidify their status as Liverpool’s superstar.
Maybe he needs fresh competition to attack midfield, a Coutinho-esque player who can add that X-factor to the ranks. FSG appears to be keen to follow that series of thoughts.
Liverpool is chasing the Premier League stars
According to football insiders, Crystal Palace star Ebekiez is ready to refuse to move to Manchester United this summer, in support of a move to Liverpool or Arsenal.
The 26-year-old doesn’t feel that the move to Old Trafford, which Gary Neville recently called “a cemetery for players and coaches,” will be the biggest benefit of his career trajectory.
Eze, valued at £50 million, marks a significant spending and FSG has doubts about consistency in front of goals, but the slot coaching acumen will take the English International game to the next level.
Why Ebeki Eze is the best slot
While the leg of Eze’s fleet on his right foot headed towards the left flank, he played plenty of football at the more central anchorage under Oliver Glasner, available for use in two areas of Liverpool.
The wise tactical mind that he is will ensure that Eze’s game will be taken to the next level.
Fulham manager Marco Silva became lyrical about the quality of his players early in the season, saying, “Anyone who loves football should enjoy watching Eze on the pitch.”
He certainly backed up his praise with his high level performance in the Eagles administration, scoring nine goals in 2024/25 and providing 11 assists in all competitions.
According to FBREF, he is ranked in the top 18% of midfielders and wingers who have attacked over the top five leagues in Europe over the past year, top 8% of ball recovery and top 15% who have successful take-ons per 90.
This effectively highlights the creativity and movement approach that Eze brings to the table. It’s a blend that you can even see talent become Liverpool’s next version of Coutinho.
Transfer focus
Mega Money deals, controversial moves, famous flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinions across Football FanCust.
The palace man can certainly create moments to stop the show, sending his side to the FA Cup final, where Manchester City is waiting for him, following a spectacular strike past Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez last weekend.
Respected journalist Henry Winter welcomed the midfielder for his “magnificent goals and exhibits” and proved he had such a whimsical quality so that he could quickly enter the slot in Liverpool’s system as a new version of Coutinho.
Of course, Eze has also been described as the “magician” of Pandit Mika Richards in the past, explaining the game in a unique take to remind Liverpool fans of the thrill of mixing such a silky, offensive midfielder.
Like Coutinho, who returned to Liverpool’s heyday, Eze got stuck, averaging 1.2 tackles and 5 successful duels per Premier League fixture.
Ten big opportunities were created on 28 top flights, and the term also began, with Liverpool really getting one of the most exciting players under the top ladders of the division.
His playmaking skills can be doubly important as Liverpool aims to lose Trent Alexander Arnold this summer, but in either way, Eze is an exciting talent who can lift his seat like Coutinho.
