When the stars leave LiverpoolWhy Liverpool wants Jeremy FrimonLiverpool’s “special” academy star may leave a bigger legacy than Torrent

Liverpool is stepping into the unknown. They’ve done it before.

In 2022, Sadio Manet covered the curtains over his illustrious Merseyside career. A year later, Bobby Firmino left at the end of his contract. Luis Diaz and Cody Gakupo will replace them and hope to crown the Premier League champions in the next two months.

Next, the big one. Jurgen Klopp shocked the world when he announced his decision to resign at the end of the season in January 2024. Almost nine years after his tenure with the trophy, the German had just rebuilt his flagging midfield, praised the creation of “Liverpool 2.0.”

You can argue that each knock has resulted in an upgrade of growth. I’m a step behind, but two forwards. With Arne Slot at the helm, Liverpool is reaching for the stars, but they must follow the annual story to prepare for a new wave of adversity.

Trent Alexander Arnold has left Liverpool.

When the stars leave Liverpool

it hurts. The expected decision to sign the pain of Alexander Arnold’s Real Madrid’s proposed contract offer in either way.

But Liverpool can withstand. In fact, the slots side is cruised towards the Premier League title and is expected to be Fulham this summer in the transfer market.

Still, the Trents were run through the ranks, raised under the wings of the Klopp, and performed in great joy and adoration throughout the most illustrious period in the history of this great club.

In many ways, he is synonymous with Liverpool’s modern success. Of course, Liverpool will have been implicitly known for a while torrent off. They weren’t caught without realizing it.

It’s not like Raheem Sterling. Young people are cream in crops, and Anfield’s great hope was that Luis Suarez had accepted the sale to Barcelona and Stephen Gerrard’s father’s time. He was a genius, but he set out to a city, only an hour’s worth of road surfaces.

The 20-year-old, who was sold to Manchester City for a fee of £49 million in 2015, drove him out of his path. He continues to plunder wealth in their horde. At the time, Liverpool lamented another loss of rising sensation, but they endured and went to incredible heights.

The same can be said about Phil Coutinho (pictured at Stirling above).

Alexander Arnold’s decision is deeply reduced, but it’s all and not the end. In fact, Liverpool has an exciting talent at Conor Bradley and wants to make an exciting sign to complete his right back rank.

According to the PA news agency, the independent Liverpool reached out to Bayer Leberkusen’s Jeremy Fripon while preparing for Alexander Arnold’s departure.

While Reds’ interest is authentic, it is important to emphasize that the lecture is in its early stages. Still, the consensus is (under no doubt) that torrents need to be replaced, and there are few better options than Frimpong, who won an invincible domestic double at Die Werkself last year.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are also enthusiastic, with a reported release clause of just 40 million euros (£34 million), so this is the perfect deal for Liverpool in the slots, adding a contrasting profile to the rising Bradley.

Why Liverpool wants Jeremy Frimon

Frimpong is currently one of the thinnest and deadliest fullbacks in the game. He choked 14 goals and 10 assists last season when Bayer Leverkusen scored Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal.

Called “the final third monster” by United Stand presenter Beth Tucker, Frimon, adds a new offensive dimension to Liverpool’s team.

According to FBREF, the Dutch international is the top 5% of fullbacks in the top five leagues over the past year, top 11% of assists, top 6% of shot-making actions, top 2% of progressive carry and top 1% of touch areas in attack penalty areas per 90.

Carries are considered progressive if the ball moves from the starting point towards the opponent’s goal or is carried into the penalty area, at least 10 yards.

Such qualities put him in the same bracket as many forwards. Certainly, judging from Frimon’s performance in the Champions League this season, he was recorded by FBREF for his similarity to Sterling.

Sterling may now feel the effect of a long and tough career on loan at Arsenal, but he was once one of the most powerful forces in the game, all with a fierce pace and expert positioning and unbreakable confidence.

What Frimon brings to Anfield is these athletic marks, these physical qualities, and has prototype elements that suggest that he is being made to suit the success of the Premier League. Frimon, who was part of the highly hampered academy in Manchester City, clearly has what it needs.

Frimpong’s lack of defensive involvement in Xabi Alonso’s system shows an immediate drawback. It is important to understand that this is a stylistic question and not an indicator that the Netherlands international cannot do defensive work.

Let’s go back to 2021/22. Frimpong scored 56% of the duels he fought that year, and averaged 6.1 per game, according to his sofa score. To give that a bit of context, the success of Alexander Arnold duel in the Premier League is 3.2 (47%) per game.

Talent scout Jacek Kulig praised Frimon for his versatile nature, pointing out that his tactical flexibility is “out of this world.” As you can see from the table below, Sterling is just as dynamic.

Statistics through the Transfer Market

While slots are unlikely to move forward from Frimon, he has a tactical similarity to one of the most versatile and high-level forwards in modern games, highlighting his incredible fluidity.

Slot has proven to be an expert on stacking his tactics, so he is exchangeable and enthusiastic when his opponent’s particular approach demands it.

Landing players with such a positive change trend will only boost Liverpool’s plans.

Break-off, torrent; But in Frimpong, FSG may find the perfect tonic to alleviate their anguish.
