According to Paul Joyce of the Times, Nottingham Forest contacted Liverpool to ask about the possibility of signing Costas Tsimicus. He also has interest in the 29-year-old left-back from other parts of Europe.
Tsimikas joined Liverpool from the Olympiacos in 2020 and spent most of his time at Anfield as a backup to left defensive Andy Robertson. However, with Robertson’s form falling significantly towards the end of last season, it appears that head coach Arneslot doesn’t see Tsimikas as a proper candidate for his team’s regular starting spot. Therefore, the club signed Milos Kerquez of Bournemouth, moving Greek International further down the pecking order.
With his future uncertainty, Tsimikas was not part of Liverpool’s team for the defeat of Community Shield to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
With two years left on his contract, Liverpool is not open to lending out Tsimikas. Only permanent transfer offers will be considered.
Costas Tsimica is not in the Liverpool squad.
Nottingham Forest asked about left-backs in the first half of his transfer period, which has led to a growing interest in Europe and domestic.
Liverpool will only consider permanent transactions at this stage.– Paul Joyce (@_pauljoyce) August 10, 2025
