Liverpool was told to be Anthony Gordon’s price tagThe Reds have long-term interest in Gordon

Liverpool is set to be active in the summer transfer window and make major changes to the team.

With Trent Alexander Arnold’s departure for Real Madrid, club sign Jeremy Fripon from Bayer Lebakusen improved their defensive depth.

Florian Wirtz is approaching completing his club’s record-breaking move to Anfield this summer.

In addition to the two players mentioned above, Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerquez is also a strong candidate to become the new Liverpool player, who has been in talks between both clubs this summer.

Premier League winners can also enter the market for new central defenders, with the sport’s Goncaloincio being on the radar.

However, it’s something the Reds can sign if the Premier League winger offers the right money.

Liverpool was told to be Anthony Gordon’s price tag

According to Football Insider, the Merseyside Club could have Newcastle United consider selling Anthony Gordon if they’re offering him £705 million.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke provided the latest update on Liverpool’s interest in the English international winger.

“It’s a move that depends on a lot of factors.” He told the soccer insider.

“If Luis Diaz leaves Liverpool, whether it’s Barcelona, Saudi Arabia, or elsewhere, they’ll be in the left-wing market.

“Anthony Gordon came very close to Liverpool last summer when Newcastle was forced to sell several players due to PSR restrictions.

“Liverpool is keeping an eye on Gordon and remains interested in him.

“Newcastle doesn’t want to lose him because he is ideally Eddie Howe’s key man.

“He signed a long-term deal last October after such speculation about his future, so you’re probably looking at £750,000-800,000 to convince Newcastle to sell.

“It looks like a difficult deal, and there is a big fee to convince you to sell.

“In Champions League football, the situation at PSR looks healthier and they are not under real pressure to sell their valuable assets.”

At just 24 years old, Gordon has been attracting great attention for his all-action style, his eyes to goals and his versatility.

Liverpool is targeting wingers who can contribute defensively and potentially allow for a quick transition. Gordon has consistently shown.

It all depends on the future of Liverpool players and who will leave the club this summer where they can force the slots to sign a new signature in that position?

The Reds have also been interested in Gordon in the past, which is something they can gather pace in the coming weeks, but as things stand, the front of them has become quiet, with current priorities completing the signatures of Wirtz and Kerkez.
