Liverpool replacing one French centre with another centre back?
Liverpool is currently having problems as Ibrahima Conate is nearing the end of his contract at Anfield.
As reported in yesterday’s daily briefing, there are real concerns for the LFC about Conate leaving amid interest from Real Madrid.
Ronald Araujo to Liverpool may be another story to watch as the Merseyside giants are trying to find a Conate alternative, but Upamecano also appears to be an option.
Losing a key player like Konate is a big blow, but if top proven talent like Upamecano becomes readily available at affordable prices, it can go very easily.
Liverpool wouldn’t think it would be too difficult to kick out 35-45 million euros for Upamecano, who appears to be a talent for a player with little problem at one of the top clubs in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old won his fifth season with Bayern and three Bundesliga titles at Allianz Arena, but the French national team also had 32 caps, winning the international league and reaching the World Cup final.
