Liverpool attacker Louis Diaz has linked his move away from the club in recent months.
Clubs like Barcelona are eager to secure his signature, and Saudi Arabians are also monitoring his situation. There have been rumors of a potential contract extension, but Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that he has not made any concrete or progress on the new deal.
Speaking exclusively Catch off side Through a video posting for the daily briefing, Romano said: “My information has not yet progressed or specific at this point regarding the new contract talk at Liverpool, so let’s see if Liverpool will offer Louis Dias a new contract or route the summer transfer window.”
Romano also revealed that the Saudi Arabian club wanted to sign players during the January transfer period, and that there was an approach. However, Columbia International decided to stay in Liverpool, and the Reds were not prepared to sanction his departure either.
Meanwhile, the potential move towards Barcelona depends on the Financial Fair Play Rules. Barcelona has been experiencing financial difficulties and is unlikely to spend the summer recklessly.

Romano added that he is likely on his way out of Liverpool along with Darwin Nunes in the summer. Romano also ruled out potential moves to Arsenal for now.
“In general, I feel that Darwin Nunes and Lewis Diaz may leave Liverpool during the summer transfer period. That’s a strong possibility. Again, that’s not guaranteed yet, but it’s certainly something to watch.”
The 28-year-old attacker was Liverpool’s first important team player since joining the club. But he could be totally contradictory. Liverpool may be aiming to bring an upgrade at the end of the season.
