Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing sports CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand.
Danish International was deeply linked to travelling from the Portuguese club, and Juventus was keen to secure his signature in a reasonable amount. However, a report from Bola claims that Sports CP will only sell players at a rate close to the release clause of 80 million euros (£70 million).
Man United and Man City want Morten hjulmand
The report further argues that Manchester United must be interested in players and face competition from rival Manchester City. It’s no secret that Manchester United will need more control and defensive cover in the middle of the park. A 26-year-old could be an ideal acquisition.
He shows his quality in Portugal and has the physical and technical attributes to make it work in the Premier League as well. Aside from his qualities as a footballer, his leadership skills could prove to be a valuable addition to Manchester United’s dressing room.
Reuben Amorim knew everything about the player who had worked with him at a Portuguese club in the past, and the midfielder was able to quickly settle in Old Trafford.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United are willing to pay the players around £70 million. Manchester City also has resources to close the transaction, allowing for deeper depths in the middle.
Hjulmand can be used in either club
Manchester United are unable to compete for a large trophy for a while and need the best players to compete with elite clubs. Danish International certainly helps them improve.
Meanwhile, Manchester City failed to propel any major trophies last season. They struggle in the absence of Rodri, and deeper in that area of the pitch is ideal.
Arsenal and Tottenham are also linked to Hjulmand.
