Los Angeles pitcher Rokisasaki doesn’t seem too far from returning to action with the big league club.
Due to shoulder issues, Sasaki has not pitched in the game since May 9th compared to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The were particularly cautious at the 23 year, considering his first year pitching abroad away from his hometown of Japan.

Doug Padilla Orange County Register We caught up with manager Dave Roberts before a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Sasaki threw 39 pitches on Wednesday morning and then throws another bullpen session over the weekend before being sent to the team’s minor league facility to put a burden.
Based on what Sasaki looked like, coupled with the adjustments he made, Roberts sounded bullish about how he would re-resident the team.
“This is when he gets things. “From what I’ve heard from the guys on pitching, the delivery is much more consistent. I think it helps with the strength he has now. He’s getting much stronger.”
There is caution about Sasaki’s return, but there is also much excitement in knowing that the pitcher who watched the first few months of the season is far from the .
“It’s exciting. (Sasaki) is clearly extremely talented,” Roberts said. “Even this season, I don’t think we’re getting closer to seeing what’s out there. Clearly things have happened and you want to be backfill, the frontline, to get more people back online, to get more people back together.
There is no timetable to go back to his actions, but Sasaki is expected to become a member of the rotation sooner later, following Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell. Glasnow is amazing in the wake of his return from injury, and Snell is bolstering his efforts in minor league contests.
In 2019, Sasaki held a 1-1 record with a 4.72 ERA in eight starts.
