The Los Angeles lost 6-2 to the Toronto Blue Jays in Game 4 of the World Series, leaving the series tied at 2 ahead of Game 5 on Wednesday.

Things started with a defensive gem from Quique Hernández, who huddled into the stands to score the opening goal. Shohei Ohtani struck out Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and recorded two outs, but immediately after that, he allowed a walk and an infield hit. He generated a pop out to get the final out, moving the defending champions to the bottom of the frame.

Although it was unintentional, Ohtani was given a walk in the top of the inning, but nothing happened as he returned to pitch a second time.
In the bottom of the second inning, the game started with a walk by Max Muncy, and Tommy Edman’s single advanced the runners to the corners, giving Quique Hernandez one out. Hernandez’s sacrifice fly gave Los Angeles the lead.
In the top of the third inning, with one out and runner on base, Guerrero returned to the plate and hit a 162.7 mph home run from 395 feet out, giving the Blue Jays a 2–1 lead. Ohtani kept Toronto at bay in the fourth inning, striking out the side and sending it flying into the bottom of the frame.
Ohtani struck out in the fifth inning to bring his total to five for the night, but no runs were exchanged until the sixth inning.
In the top of the 7th inning, Otani singled and doubled, allowing runners on second and third base, and the batting lineup was over. Anthony Banda came in as a reliever, but allowed an RBI, and although he got an out, he was given an extra point on a sacrifice grounder. Blake Treinen then relieved and allowed two more singles as the lead grew to 6-1.
Ohtani’s final lineup pitched over six innings, giving up six hits and four runs, with six strikeouts.
The ‘ offense was unable to chip away at the Blue Jays’ lead in the seventh or eighth innings, but they did get some traffic in the ninth. Teoscar Hernandez led off with a single and Muncy doubled. Edman then grounded out, giving the their second run of the game. Kiké Hernandez then struck out and Alex Cole ended the game with a flyout.

The and Blue Jays will return to Stadium on Wednesday night for a crucial Game 5 of the World Series, throwing out the first pitch at 5 p.m. Pacific time.
