Louis Reese Zamit sealed off his return to rugby from American football after signing the Bristol Bears.
The 24-year-old, who concluded 32 times by Wales, announced in January 2024 that he had left rugby to participate in the NFL International Player Pathway Program.
He first signed the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars, but he couldn’t make a breakthrough in either and chose to return to his roots.

Rees-Zammit said on the club’s website: “The Bristol Bears were an obvious choice for me.
“I want to let the fans out of my seat, create exciting moments and help people fall in love with the game. I’m excited to go back to rugby with clubs that demand those values.”
The exciting winger previously recorded 42 attempts in Gloucester’s 77 appearances, but when he tried Terry in a Welsh shirt he was 14 years old.
Rugby Pat Rum Director Bristol said:
“He has the will and ambition to be one of the three best players in the world, and his goals are perfectly in line with our ambitions as a club.
“At just 24, we know he’s a competitor with athletes. The way we play and how he fits seamlessly is looking forward to working with him when we join the group tomorrow.”
Bristol will begin its season with the Sale Sharks at the Premiership Rugby Cup on September 13th.
