Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford has been linked to moves that have left the club in recent months.
The player was on loan at Aston Villa late last season, and he is expected to leave the club forever.
Manchester United have now confirmed that they will hand over the summer number 10 shirt to sign Mateus Cunya. Journalist Alex Crook believes it’s “impossible” for Rashford to head to a preseason tour with Manchester United.
Can Marcus Rashford sort out his future?
It will be interesting to see if he can quickly organize his future. He tries to join a club where he has ample opportunity. He is clearly not a key player for Reuben Amorim and staying at Manchester United next season makes no sense to him. He has recently linked to clubs like Barcelona. It is still unclear whether the Spanish outfit has an offer to sign him.
He is undoubtedly a quality acquisition for most teams. He is versatile enough to run anywhere and anywhere on the Front 3, and until recently he was considered one of the best attackers in the Premier League. If he can return to that level, he could become an asset for a club like Barcelona.
Man United need a deep attack
Manchester United, on the other hand, will need to properly replace Rashford if he moves. They were pretty overwhelming in their offense last season and need a reliable wide player and striker.
They had a disappointing season and finished in the lower half of the league table last season. Manchester United aims to bounce back hard, and they must deal with their team’s weaknesses during the summer transfer period.
Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho are unlikely to head to a preseason tour with Manchester United.
