Luka Doncic’s Slovenia has reappeared in Eurobasket despite showing improvements.
Slovenia entered the Eurobasket with a poor run in form and lost the opening game in the tournament to Poland.
This made them a tough place for the second game and faced one of their pre-tournament favorites, France.
Luka Doncic did everything he could to win the contest, but ended up finishing France 103-95 Slovenia.
Luka Doncic produced a 39-point performance, leading him to win and steer Slovenia, flirting with a triple double.
Slovenia had a lead in the third quarter thanks to Donsic’s heroes, but when he left the game they lost the lead and were unable to recover it in the fourth.
Doncic’s 39 points included eight rebounds and nine assists.

After his defeat, Luka Doncic spoke to the Slovenian media and said he felt he had energized the team’s performance.
Quoted by Siol, Doncic admitted that he showed one weakness when he got mad during the team’s defeat.
“The boys did a good job. Everyone who stepped onto the court gave it everything. Like I said, France was a great team and unfortunately we lost, but now we have to learn something from this defeat.
“I know I lose my temper at times, but I try to help my team. I do this all from good intentions. No one wants anything bad and I think we’re getting better every day.”
Donsic is supported for the opener by La Lakers chiefs Rob Perinka and Johnny Bass, reassuring they can be sure their superstars are in great shape.
And considering the poor start of Slovenia’s group stage, he can quickly return to LA.
