According to Marca, Luka Jovic has agreed to join Aek Athens as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with AC Milan.
Aek and Jovic have reached an agreement over a two-year contract. Serbia International is scheduled to receive medical care today (Monday) in Athens before signing on the dotted line. The move was never conceived, despite suggesting that he was set to join Real Oviedo and work with his fellow fellow Veljko Paunovic.
Jovic enjoyed a good spell with Eintracht Frankfurt. It raised his market price and saw him pay more than 60 million euros for his services in 2019, but he was unable to do so in the Spanish capital and was sent back to Eintracht on loan 18 months later. His contract with Real expired in 2022, from which he went to Fiorentina as a free agent. Then the following year I joined AC Milan for just 500,000 euros. For the 27-year-old striker, things didn’t go well in Sanshiro. He had just 13 goals and two assists in over 47 matches in all of Rossoneri’s tournaments.
Jovic has 11 goals in his name with Serbia’s 45 caps.
