Following the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Game 2 victory, the 2025 NBA Finals reached level 1-1.

The series heads to Gainbridge Field House, the home arena of the Indiana Pacers for games 3 and 4. These are important because the Pacers could lead the series.

But for that to happen, the organization needs their star guard Tyreese Halliburton to bring his A-Game to the table.

Although Halliburton has already won his name in the NBA Finals, statistics show that the Pacers need something else from him.

Certainly, Halliburton’s playmaking is undoubtedly his best skill. Yes, it’s unacceptable that Halliburton doesn’t affect the rebound.

But the most important thing the Pacers need from Hari is his score. why? Following a Game 2 loss, the Pacers are 27-28 this season when Halliburton scored under 20 points in the game this season.

However, as the 2x NBA All-Star surpasses the 20-point mark, Pacer has a sensational 32-4 record this season.

With that in mind, it’s clear that the Pacers hope that Halliburton will achieve a great scoring streak during the home game and help the team move up 3-1 with the Thunder.

There’s one thing you struggle when a player’s shot isn’t falling, but if you don’t try to score at least 20 points in the game, that’s a completely different scenario.

Halliburton falls into the latter category with 14 and 17 points performances in games 1 and 2 respectively. As for his filming, he shot a total of 50% in two games.

This suggests that Halliburton has not passed the slump. The problem is not trying to get enough shots to break the 20-point mark.

Pacers fans hope that this stat will reach Hari and he hopes to achieve a scoring streak for the rest of the series. Otherwise, it seems unlikely that Indy will have an advantage over a much better OKC team.
