After signing Malcolm Brogdon, the New York Knicks set the roster for the 2025-26 NBA season.
The New York Knicks had a transformative summer. After the disappointing Eastern Conference Finals exit, the Knicks decide to change things.
The Knicks began in the summer with firing Tom Thibodeau. This was a dangerous decision. Instead, the Knicks hired Mike Brown as their next head coach.
To re-up their roster, the Knicks signed Gershon Yabsere to add 3 and D depths to their bench. Another big signature was to land Jordan Clarkson after agreeing to a deal with the Utah Jazz.
And the franchise completed the team with Malcolm Brogdon signing with the Knicks to seal the final roster.
The New York Knicks have absolutely updated the bench depth. This was a major weakness for them in the playoffs.
This is what we expect to see their starting lineup and depth rotation as follows:
| Starting lineup | Second unit |
| Jalen Branson | Miles McBride |
| Mikal Bridge | Jordan Clarkson |
| and anunoby | Pacom dadiet |
| Josh Hart | Guerschon Yabusele |
| Karl Anthony Towns | Mitchell Robinson |
Miles McBride hasn’t had a backup point guard as Malcolm Brogdon, but he is still a promising young star who has made his way into the rotation.
Of course, Mike Brown may decide to turn to Brogdon instead, as he is more experienced and can offer strong performances more regularly.
And while Mitchell Robinson is healthy, Brown may not trust his injury issues behind him.
As things stand, the New York Knicks are considered their favorite to win the Eastern Conference and reach the NBA Finals.
The Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers all suffered massive injuries and lost their position as top candidates in the East as they changed their major roster.
The Cleveland Cavaliers may still be healthy and dominant, but their lack of a strong playoff experience could hinder them.
With all that in mind, something will have to be very wrong in order for the New York Knicks to not make a vital run in the playoffs.
