With Kyle Walker heading towards the exit door, Manchester City reportedly took part in the race to sign a Bundesliga talent that can solve Pep Guardiola’s right-back problem.
Walker has been set to leave Man City
After spending the second half of the current campaign on loan in Milan, reports show that Walker is expected to leave Etihad permanently this summer, even if the Serie A Giants decide to trigger a purchase option.
The former Man City captain will resign alongside Kevin De Bruin.
The veteran right-back went down as one of his best positions in Premier League history, praising Guardiola as he headed towards the exit door in January.
The city boss told reporters in January when Walker asked him to leave the club. “Two days ago, Kyle asked me to explore options to play abroad.
“We don’t understand what the club did this year without Kyle. That’s impossible. He was our right back and gave us something we didn’t have. But now in his mind, we want to explore whether he could go to another country to play his last year.”

After a sensational run, all good things need to come to an end, and Manchester City now has to pay attention to solving their right-back problems this summer.
Guardiola can’t afford to head towards something like Mateus Nunes to bring his side back to the pinnacle of British football. Instead, he had the opportunity to call out certain Bundesliga talents.
Man City will take part in the race and sign Killian Shirdelia
According to catch-offside, Manchester City is currently racing along with Premier League rivals Liverpool and Aston Villa to sign SC Freiburg’s Killian Sil Dillia.
The right-back, just 22 years ago, is reportedly valued at around 16 million euros (£14 million), which could be given a departure from Freiburg when the summer transfer window opens.
Called “a full-back” by football talent scout Jacek Kulig when he was just 20 years old, Shirdilia has improved since then and won some interest in the best aspects of the Premier League.
Manchester City is hoping that the younger defender has chosen to work with Guardiola, as many have in the past, and many hope that they will do.
