Manchester City spending summer looks to start.
Sky Blues was the world’s largest spender in January, signing with Omar Marmash, Abdukodier Kusanov, Niko Gonzalez, Vitrreis and Zhumaba. This is more than the other 19 Premier League clubs have been spent in total.
But will the citizens snap one of the best players in the Premier League, as this seems like just an Amuse Bouche ahead of the summer rebuild?
Manchester City targeting new fullbacks
According to a report by journalist Graham Bailey, Manchester City is interested in signing fullback Rayan Ait Nouli from Wolverhampton Wanderers, who already “background checks” on Molinaw’s senses.
As the report progresses, Pep Guardiola has previously proposed to try to sign a left back this summer, saying, “Obviously, Nico is helping us, but he’s not a left back… We’ve found a solution.”
According to Soccer Insider Pete O’Rourke, could Aite Nouri be that solution worth £40 million by wolves?
Well, the Algerian International certainly caught my eye. Sky Sports’ Dougie Critchley pointed out that he is “one of the best players in the Premier League” in recent months, and David O’Brien praises his “creative” qualities.
Transfer focus
Mega Money deals, controversial moves, famous flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinions across Football FanCust.
But he would be perfect for Man City, and will his potential arrival be reminiscent of another Sky Blue stubborn signature?
Why ait-nouri could become the next Kyle Walker
Kyle Walker joined Manchester City from Tottenham in 2017, receiving a report of the then defender’s world record fee of £53 million.
Needless to say, this has proven to be a good investment.

When Walker left for AC Milan in January, Opta’s Ali Twidale said the analysts said the British were the “best right back of all time” in the Premier League, while athletic Michael Cox added that Man City would have been less successful these days “without relying on the pace of recovery.”
So can we have a similar effect on Etihad? Now, let’s evaluate his statistics this season and help you answer that question.

As the table outlines, Aït-Nouri is a very balanced fullback, highly ranked in terms of both offensive and defensive metrics, but also dribbling.
Algerians are always available, and they’re missing just one Premier League match all season. This was due to a suspension that would become a very useful asset given the defensive injury crisis Man City has endured throughout the season.
Moe Adikwu, who broke the line, believes Aitnouri has “a great potential” but says there is “a lot more room for improvement,” but the overall Venkatanarayan of football analysis emphasizes that he is “known for his offensive bravery.”
It appears that Aït-Nouri will likely say goodbye to the wolves this summer. If a deal is agreed, he can represent Walker’s left-hand version with fullback.
