Manchester United are reportedly confident in signing Matthew Us Kuña of the Wolverhampton Wanderers at the end of the season.
Manchester United have stepped up their efforts to improve their team this summer, according to Give Me Sport. They are looking for Brazilians despite interest from Arsenal.
The 25-year-old stands out for the wolves and it’s no surprise that the top clubs are enthusiastic about him. He has proven himself a reliable performer in the Premier League. He can operate in multiple offensive roles and could prove to be an ideal acquisition for both clubs.
Manchester United need a quality attacker like him, especially the way Joshua Zirksie and Rasmus Hozilund performed this season. Manchester United sometimes looked toothless on attacks. Cunha has 17 goals and six assists this season.
Brazilians may be seduced to join them. It was a big step in his career and he can play for one of the largest clubs in the world.
Arsenal can use Matheus Cunha
Meanwhile, Arsenal will need to attack the reinforcements. Gabriel Jesus and Kai Herberts have not been able to score goals consistently, and Arsenal needs someone to lead the line for them.
Cunha could form a solid partnership with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in the attack. Arsenal is promoting the league title and the Champions League. They could be an attractive destination for players. They were able to provide him with a platform to fight for the big trophies as well.
Players have more preferences than Man United
It remains to be seen whether the player has decided to join Manchester United instead. The Red Devils have spoken positively with player representatives and are confident in completing the transaction. Meanwhile, a report from GMS claims that Cunha is keen to join Manchester United and can prioritize the transition to Old Trafford over other options.
