Man of Man Tote Ace Michael Dunlop marked his return to Northern Ireland’s Tandreage 100 Road Race with a 1000cc race victory.
The County Armor event was last run in 2022, but this year it returned after widespread roads on the course resurfaced.
Since the final run of the Tandragee 100, Michael Dunlop has been engraved in a history book as becoming the most successful rider ever at the Isle of Man TT after surpassing the late Joey Dunlop’s record with 26 wins in 2024.
With a record 29 wins, Michael Dunlop extended to 33 earlier this month after four wins in TT this year.
Dunlop has been a hugely successful year so far, with TT’s victory winnings at the North West 200 and Cookstown 100.
Lacking Tandragee since 2013, Dunlop marked his return on Saturday with a five-lap open race victory.
Riding an MD Racing BMW on the Superstock Trim, Dunlop defeated Michael Sweeney in a tight fight in just 0.4 seconds.
Sweeney initially led the race path before being overhauled by Dunlop.
Dunlop then backed up this with his second victory in a Superbike feature race at the end of the day, dominating the proceedings at BMW.
Again against Sweeney, winning, Dunlop reached the checkered flag by clearing the 6-lap contest 8.059S.
Sean Anderson completed the podium and previously won the classic superbike race at Norton, ahead of Manxman Connor Cummins.
Multiple TT Podium finishers competed for his first Tandragee 100 since 2007, winning the podium in the open race early on Saturday.
The podium in the open race came after beating Mike Brown, who had to settle for the fourth.
However, Brown won in the Supersport class, winning Friday evening and Saturday.
In the latter, he defeated Michael Dunlop in 3.545 seconds. Dunlop ran into problems with his Ducati V2 Panigale in qualifying, finishing 17th on the grid.
However, he set up a new lap record for his class, fighting to reach the podium in Saturday’s race at the revised time.
Michael Dunlop will return to race action next month at Southern 100 Isle of Man. He’s about to leave head-to-head with fellow TT recipients of the year, Dean Harrison and Davy Todd.
