Sidecar Superstar Ben Birchall and passenger Patrick Rosney were injured in a horrifying accident during a race at Assen last weekend.
The 14th TT winner and his passengers competed in the ninth round of the FIM Sidecar World Championships in Assen last weekend.
However, the round ended prematurely for them due to a crash in the opening race.
Both competitors were not injured, but had to withdraw from the rest of the weekend due to the incident.
In a brief Instagram post, the team wrote:
“On the positive side, I found a wet pace and made solid progress on my bike.
“You may need to fit a ‘This Way Up’ sticker for your next race just in case Ben forgets.
“As always, I would like to thank RST & Arai for protecting me. Every eye on the brand is now hatching.”
Birchall and Rosney will work for the conclusion of the 2025 British Sidecar Championship season with the brand next month.
The pair is currently ranked 8th.
At Assen, World Sidecar Championship leaders Harrison Payne and Kevin Rousseau earned overall honors to expand their rankings.
Earlier this year, Burchard returned to the TT podium after crashing during practice in 2024.
He won all 14 of his sidecar TTS along with his side as a passenger, brother Tom Burcharle. The latter retired at the end of 2023.
