Manchester United is reportedly cautiously optimistic about completing the transfer contract for Brentford right winger Brian Mbeumo in time for his preseason tour in the US.
The Red Devils have long pursued Mbeumo, but Brentford’s demands still seem to prove slightly problematic.
According to Sky Sports, bees want to pay much of Mbeumo’s £65 million transfer fee upfront, but Man Utd still seems quite confident in making the deal soon.
There are probably many United fans who are unhappy with how long this took, but they hope that the club’s optimism is accurate and that there will be positive development soon.
Sky has said United’s first preseason game will be on July 26th, and the club wants to have Mbeumo with them for that.
Brian Mbemo wants to only participate in Manchester United.
One positive detail of United is that SkySports claims that Mbeumo itself only wants to move to Old Trafford.
Cameroon International was also strongly associated with Tottenham through the Daily Mirror and others.
Mbeumo scored 20 goals and seven assists in 38 Premier League matches last season, so Frank clearly knows how to score the best of the 25-year-old.
Still, MUFC is a big name that still has actual pull power, even though it passes through difficult patches on the pitch.
Man United’s attack will be stronger with Mbeumo and Cunya
United apparently have made the necessary changes to their offense after carrying so many flops and misfits last season.
Matheus Cunha is already on board from the wolves, and Mbeumo is another great addition.
Mbeumo will be a major upgrade to the wide front of clubs like Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.
Meanwhile, Cunha should be a better option than things like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, so Ruben Amorim hopes his team will pose an offensive threat next season.
