According to Manchester Evening News, Saudi clubs and European top leagues could test Manchester United’s resolve to keep Bruno Fernandez.
Portugal International has been a subject of strong interest from Al Hilal this summer. Apparently, the Saudi club submitted an offer of £100 million for his services, but both United and Fernandez refused the offer. The player said he would consider leaving Old Trafford only if the club decides that time.
At this point, Fernandez has signed with United until the summer of 2027. This clearly means the contract will enter its final year at the end of this season. It will also be interesting to see if he remains in place unless the fate of the team’s pitch improves dramatically.
Apparently, if he moves there in January, the salary he earns in Saudi Arabia would be around £700,000 per week.
