Man United is about to sign an attacker this summer, and according to one former player, they should look inside Aston Villa to add a new striker.

The 2024-25 season had a move made to attack the signature as Man United showed lack of quality in the final third. Matheus Cunha will be joining from the wolves, Bryan Mbeumo is being targeted, and there is also a strong desire to bring nine new numbers.

Man United has been linked to Liam Dellup, Victor Gyoker and Victor Osimchen over the past few months, but the other one is a favourite of the old Trafford so you should be watching Ollie Watkins.

Talking to The Telegraph (via Manunited.News), Paul Ince questioned Man United’s recent transfer policy before urging him to move for Watkins.

“If you choose the best 11 players from the Premier League, you won’t have one United player there. And maybe we could have said that in the last six or seven years. How will Liverpool get Virgil Vandic Dick, Rien Gray Gun Birch, Alexis McAlistair and Arsenal get Declan Rice?

“Why wasn’t United in the market for them? Are they looking at the right place? I don’t think they’re there right now. So I think it’s a big summer for everyone involved with the club. That’s certainly true. They need to be badly firepower.

Watkins reportedly was unhappy with his playing time at Aston Villa this summer. However, given the fact that Liverpool has him as an option, it may be difficult for Man United to sign him.
