Manchester United are interested in signing Matthews Cunya, the Wanderers attacker at the end of the season.
According to a report from the NY Times, they have positive talks with the player and his representative. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United will follow up on their interests with official offers to sign players.
The Brazilian has a release clause of £62.7 million in his contract, and Manchester United certainly has the financial muscles to continue the contract. They desperately needed quality attackers, and South America was able to change them with attacks.
Cunha has been in an exceptional form this season, with him making 20 target contributions in all competitions. He wants to compete at the highest level and the opportunity to join Manchester United is extremely exciting for him. They weren’t the best, but they have the resources to build a scary team and fight for major trophies.
The players are also linked to Arsenal and Liverpool.
Amorim fees will be reduced
The player is highly rated by Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim. Reuben Amorim recently labeled him as a player of authentic quality.
Amorim said:
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United is ready to pay his release clause. It could be an expensive takeover, but the players were well settled in the Premier League and were able to make an immediate impact at Old Trafford. He could prove to be a major upgrade to Manchester United’s current attack options.
