Manchester United have been struggling to score consistent goals this season and have identified Victor Osimchen as the solution to the problem.
The 26-year-old Nigeria International is currently on loan in Galatasaray, Turkey, and has 29 goals and six assists in his name at all competitions. He is expected to move in the summer and leaves Naples forever.
According to former Manchester United scout Mick Brown, the Red Devils are confident in signing players despite interest from Chelsea. Bruce is also passionate about Nigeria’s international affairs, and it is still unclear where he will end.
Brown told Football Insider:
“But from what I’ve heard, I’m sure United can convince him to choose them.”
There’s no doubt that Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the world. He was able to prove that it was a solid acquisition of Manchester United. The 26-year-old will be a major upgrade for players like Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
Both players have been extremely overwhelming this season and need more support on the offense. Manchester United hopes to compete for the trophy next season, and they need the best players who will serve their freedom.
Victor Osimhen improves both clubs
Osimhen is a top-notch performer and has helped Napoli win the league title in recent seasons. He also shows his quality in the Champions League, and there is no doubt that he has the physical and technical attributes that will do well in the UK. It would be interesting to see where he ends.
Chelsea could also use more quality in offenses, and Osimhen will be an upgrade for Nicholas Jackson. The Blues are looking for Champions League qualification and need more quality on the side if they want to do well in multiple competitions next season.
Meanwhile, recent reports say Liverpool also claims he is protecting the tab.
