Ekitique’s impressive journey to prolific striker
Ekitike signed his first professional contract with Reims in 2020, and later spent a simple loan spell on Danish Side Vejle Boldklub.
Upon his return, he quickly influenced League One and attracted attention for his performance.
Despite great interest, he declined the move to Newcastle United.

His performance convinced Bundesliga Club to enable the purchase option and secure him on a long-term contract.
Ekitike has been in excellent shape this season, scoring 19 goals and eight assists in 39 appearances in all competitions, bringing the club’s overall tally to 23 goals and 10 assists. Throughout his career, he scored 47 goals and 20 assists in 142 games. (TransferMarkt)
Frankfurt reportedly demands £67 million from the French striker, so United must weigh their options carefully.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are already on the team, but their inconsistent displays are looking for United in search of a more reliable and offensive presence.
Amorim is determined to bolster the offense, and Ekitike’s landing could be a major statement of intent when the club appears to be restructuring.
