Brian Mbemo has revealed that Manchester United is the only club he will be willing to join if he decides to leave Brentford this summer despite the continued interest and rumours tied to other Premier League aspects.
The 25-year-old forward informed Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur of his intentions, and declared Old Trafford to be his preferred destination if his preferred destination was realized, according to journalist David Ornstein, athletics’ David Ornstein.
Mbeumo, who has become a key figure in Brentford, is considered an ideal addition to Reuben Amorim’s offensive at Man United.
Brentford rejected two bids from Man United
The Premier League giants have already made two formal proposals for MBEUMO, with the first bid being £45 million and £10 million add-ons followed by a second offer of £55 million and add-ons of £7.5 million.
However, both offers are understood to fall short of the assessment of Brentford’s Cameroon International, and the West London Club stands at the asking price.
Negotiations between the clubs are underway. United are keen to secure Mbeumo’s services as they aim to add versatility and depth to attack options for upcoming campaigns.
The forward’s ability to operate beyond the forefront will provide United with a new dimension in offense next season.
Meanwhile, Hotspur refused to make an official offer for Mbeumo.
The Red Devils believe they are approaching the deal
Brentford remains accepting the argument, but will not accept transactions below valuation, particularly given the importance of Mbeumo.
As the talk continues, United fans will add even more quality to their offense as they prepare to return to Champions League football next season, hoping that the club will reach an agreement with Brentford and bring Mbeumo to Old Trafford.
After Mbeumo’s signature, the Red Devils are expected to target the moves of goalkeepers, strikers and midfielders.
Man United is planning a transfer when Brian Mbeumo deal is completed
