Alejandro Garnacho reportedly gave Chelsea a top priority as the London Club strengthened its pursuit of the highly regarded Manchester United Winger.
According to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, speaking has already been held between the Chelsea and Garnacho camps, demonstrating the player’s openness to the Stamford Bridge Switch.
However, negotiations between the two clubs had not yet begun, and Man United was hoping to demand a substantial relocation fee.
Garnacho was impressive at a young age, but his future at Old Trafford remains uncertain after Reuben Amorim revealed at the end of last season that players must find a new club for him.
Reuben Amorim wants to sell Alejandro Garnacho
Especially after the Europa League final defeat against Tottenham, Amorim reportedly was unhappy with the players and decided to offload him in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea now positions himself as a serious candidate for his signature.
While personal terms don’t seem to matter, Garnacho is clearly intrigued by the Chelsea project, the success of the potential moves is heavily financially dependent.
United, which has already signed players like Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer, is about to sell players to generate funds for the transfer business. One of the players they are considering selling is Garnacho.
Chelsea will make a move for the Man United star
At this point, no official bids have been made, and United continues to focus on their transfer goals, especially in the midfield and offense.
From a Chelsea perspective, the timing of possible deals is not expected to be immediate. The club is currently prioritizing player departures as part of a broader summer restructuring, focusing on finalizing Xavi Simons’ deals.
Nevertheless, Garnacho remains high on the list, and the foundations laid down suggest that a more specific approach could be realized later in the window.
