Man United is about to sell numbers players in the coming weeks. Things like Antony and Alejandro Garnacho lead candidates to be sold, and others are linked to leaving.
Over the past few weeks it has been revealed that Man United is willing to sell Mainoo this summer despite showing promises during his first team’s 72 appearances. However, the possibility of a sale appears slimmer.
Cobby Mine will stay at Man United this summer
According to a soccer insider, Mick Brown revealed that the club that had been in the race to sign Minee was now interested.
“I always thought they should keep Mine-stop. If that were to me, then I would be doing everything possible to keep the academy alumni at the club, as Man United has been built over the years. But it’s now clear that the club doesn’t agree to see things.
“Mainoo’s situation is tricky because I think everyone expects him to go. The interest in him seems to be an interest in him as he doesn’t give any indication that no one is willing to meet his asking price.
“He’s a very talented player so I think they’re happy to keep him. Since Amorim came in, he’s not much involved, so this will be an opportunity for him to establish himself in his first XI.
On the one hand, it makes sense that Mainoo will stay, given the possibilities he has shown over the past few seasons. However, he is not ideal for Reuben Amorim’s system. This is a concern for both parties. If he remains at Old Trafford, it will be interesting to see how things unfold as they come at the end of the summer transfer period.
