Sports striker Victor Gyoker broke his silence amid growing speculation about his future and released a pointed response to recent remarks made by the club president.
The Swedish forward, who has enjoyed the spell of success in Portugal, has become one of the most talked about names in the current transfer window.
But Gyoker is now opposed to the wave of rumors, claiming that most of the reports surrounding his situation are inaccurate.
Gyoker is unhappy with current speculation
“There’s a lot of talk at the moment, but most of them are wrong.” Gyoker states as Fabrizio Romano reported.
“I’ll talk when the time comes.”
His comments come days after sports president Frederico Valandas publicly addressed the striker’s future.
Valandas stopped confirming the formal offer, but he acknowledged the growing interest in strikers from several top European clubs.
Varandas firmly dismissed the broader claim that Gyoker has a pre-determined contract that he can cut his transfer fees and leave the club this summer.
The report went viral for months as part of a “gentlemen’s agreement” he made last year, allowing him to leave for 70 million euros (£59 million).
However, Valandas is currently resting these rumors and claims that such a deal does not exist.
The President of Sports has made it clear that Gyoker and his sole commitment to the representative is that the club will not insist on revitalizing the striker’s 100 million euros (£85 million) release clause.
Man United and Arsenal are in a race to sign gyoker
Gyoker’s response suggests some degree of dissatisfaction with the ongoing speculation, linking him to Manchester United and Arsenal.
There are also reports that the strikers have decided to go on a strike and are threatening not to play for them.
As the summer transfer windows are heated and Premier League clubs turn, the ball is currently in the courts of potential suitors.
Sports may not require full clauses, but they are also not obligated to sell cheaply.
