Manchester United reportedly plans an Ivan Tony move this summer.
The former Brentford striker has been doing pretty well since moving to Saudi Arabia, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can convince Al Ali to sell the player. According to a report by Fichejes, Manchester United have already been in touch with the Saudi club with player representatives regarding summer moves, and they are optimistic to close the deal.
The report further claims it is willing to offer players a 35 million euro package.
Ivan Tony could improve Man United
The striker scored 23 goals in 30 games, making it the ideal takeover for Manchester United. They have not been able to score consistent goals for the past 12 months, and players like Joshu Azilky and Rasmus Hoilund have not been able to meet expectations.
Manchester United need a replacement, and experienced strikers like Tony could be ideal for them. He had played in the Premier League before and proved himself on top flights. He quickly made an impact at Manchester United and was able to change them with the offense. He has been labelled in the past as a “top level” player.
Man United’s move may be attractive to players
The opportunity to return to his hometown could be an exciting option for players, and Manchester United is one of the largest clubs in the world. Any player will want to participate. It is still unknown how the situation will develop.
The 29-year-old will be a short-term acquisition of the club, but they need someone with his experience and quality. He was able to quickly influence and help Manchester United bounce back hard.
They need experienced players who finished in the lower half of the league table last season and can help them return to the UEFA Champions League.
