Manchester United were interested in signing Brentford attacker Brian Mbemo, and they submitted his opening offer to him.
According to Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, they are offering £60 million to the 25-year-old attacker, but closing the deal isn’t enough. They will need to provide about £10 million more to seal the deal.
Bailey claims he is totally confident that the deal will ultimately be agreed. The player has already agreed to personal terms with Manchester United. There have been rumors, he is demanding large wages.
“Man United took part in their opening offer… That’s not enough,” Bailey told TBR Football.
“Brentford won’t take less than £60 million. Certainly, they placed him on par with Mashus Kuña for at least £62.5 million, so United had to go another £10 million.
“But the two clubs are talking – and I’m said to be totally confident that the deal will be made. The player’s camp is already in a broad agreement on terms.”
Man United need an attacker
Mbeumo is currently one of the best attackers in the Premier League and should prove to be a Manchester United exceptional acquisition if Manchester United can make the deal. They need more quality on the sides, and 25-year-olds add goals and creativity. He scored 20 goals in the league last year and also scored eight assists.
He can slot in as the front in the center as well as the winger on the right. His versatility is a bonus for the Red Devils. Manchester United needed to improve their offensive units, and they already brought in Matheus Cunha.
Mbeumo could be his next signature through the door of an Old Trafford costume. He is also linked to Arsenal.
Brian Mbeumo could change Man United
Cameroon International was in its peak period and was able to make an immediate impact with Manchester United. He also settles well in British football and doesn’t need much time to adapt to his new environment.
It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can quickly crash their contracts. The player wants to compete at a high level and joining one of the world’s biggest clubs is extremely exciting for him.
Manchester United have not been at their best in recent seasons, but they are huge clubs and top players will want to join them.
