Manchester United could trigger a £405 million release fee on the “stolen” striker contract on Tuesday evening.
Man Utd is focusing on Gyoker alternatives
Extensive reports suggesting Viktor Gyoker is closed to travel to Arsenal have forced Man United to move to an alternative option, with contacts made to both Benjamin Sesco of RB Leipzig and Nicholas Jackson of Chelsea.
Gyoker looks very unlikely right now, but there are several options on the Ruben Amorim candidate list. Many of them were prolific in front of goals during the 2024-25 campaign.
It was revealed last week that United had made an offer to Fiorentina striker Moise Keene, behind an impressive campaign for the former Everton man in Serie A, but it appears not to be expensive enough to seduce the Italian club into sales.
However, if the Red Devils triggered his release clause, Fiorentina was unable to prevent Keene from leaving, and reports from Italy (via sports witnesses) revealed that they could be done accurately before it expires within the next 12 hours.

New Rashford: Man Utd agreed to sign “cannot play” star
Man United hopes to sign a series of summers over the coming weeks.
The report states: ”At this point, things are tightening. Keene never accepted Alkazia’s offer and also did not comment on the interest of Al Hilal, who recently contacted his aides. Manchester United’s outlook should not be underestimated. Because the Red Devils can move 2,000-born players during the final hours of his release clause. ”
The centre-forward’s release clause is €52 million (£45 million) but expires midnight on Tuesday. That means United must move quickly if they are keen on trading Fiorentina stars.
“Amazing” Keene may deserve another chance in the UK
The striker’s time at Everton never planned to remain scored two goals in 29 Premier League matches during the 2019-20 season, but his performance in Italy last season shows he could deserve another chance in the UK.
Italian International scored 25 goals for Fiorentina in all competitions, but received high praise from Italian legend Christian Vieri. “We have Keene and Letegui. They are two very good strikers. If they play together, they are very dangerous. Keene is an incredible striker and an incredible center ahead.”
Perhaps the 25-year-old’s most memorable strike was his opening goal in his 2-1 victory on his side against Genoa in February, beating the goalkeeper with an astonishing effort on the spin.
That being said, given Keene’s final spell in the Premier League was far below par, it would be surprising if Man United had triggered his release clause before it expired Tuesday evening.
